Bok Jumeoni Lucky Bag

£18.00

Create your own Bok jumeoni, fortune pouch inspired by the ancient Korean tradition of bojagi, Korean wrapping cloths. Traditional Korean clothes do not have pockets so bags like these were used to carry coins and precious items from a belt. Today, Lucky pouches are often used to give a gift of money at important festivals like Seollal, Korean New year or for birthdays.

This kit contains traditional Korean silk fabrics, cord and instruction sheets to create your bag. The kit contains enough fabric to make one bag. You learn how to stitch Settam sangchim, a triple stitch to imbue your pouch with good luck and happiness. You can decorate the draw string cords with organza flowers to finish your pouch.

Colours may vary from the image. If you have a special request please get in touch and I will do my best to help.
